Good news for iPhone users! The Cupertino-based tech giant has announced that it has rolled out 5G support for iPhones in India. The company said that support was rolled out starting December 13 at 11:30 p.m. m. for users of Airtel and Jio networks. iPhone users should update their devices to the latest Apple iOS 16.2 software update. Those with iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and iPhone 14 series devices, as well as the iPhone SE, can enjoy 5G speeds.

With the new update.

Compatible devices include iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone SE 3 (2022), etc.

Here’s How to activate 5G On Your iPhone

Users need to go to the Settings app, open the General tab and navigate to Software Update. An option to download iOS 16.2 will appear. Download and install it after agreeing to the terms of service when the download is complete. It is recommended to back up all data before installing the latest version.

After installing the update, users will need to restart their devices. After restarting, a new 5G status icon will appear in the notification area if Wi-Fi is not active. If the icon is not visible, users can go to the Settings app, go to the Cellular Data tab, and access the Cellular Data option. With two active SIM cards, users can choose which SIM card they want to use 5G on. Those who have a 4G SIM card and data plan do not need to change anything because Airtel and Jio SIM cards are compatible.

The new update also adds Apple Music Sing functionality to all devices. iPhone 14 and iPhone Pro models get lock screen improvements and other bug fixes.
